Are you scam savvy? This free talk helps raise awareness on scams and how to spot them. It takes place at Burgess Hill Town Council in Church Walk in Burgess Hill on Friday, May 22nd from 1pm. Across West Sussex courier and romance scams are consistently in the top three frauds reported, with a significant amount of money being lost each month. Not only do these frauds have a financial impact on victims, but there is also an emotional impact which can be even more significant. To help raise awareness of these different types of scams, there are two, free, in-person talks at Burgess Hill Town Council which will provide you with the knowledge on how to spot them, and what to do if you or your family become a victim.
